We call this solid form of water ice.

Ice forms at zero degrees Celsius (0°C).

We call this freezing. Water freezes into ice.

In the northern states, lakes often freeze in the winter months.

Where else might water freeze?

On hot days, you like ice in your drink.

Ice cubes are made from water.

Inside the freezer where the ice is kept, it is very cold.

This is where the water turns into solid.

These solid pieces of water are called ice cubes.
