On Earth, there are two major groups of living things. Do you know what they are? Correct! Plants and animals. So, how are plants not like animals. How are plants alike? In what ways are each type of plant unique?

You know there are many kinds of animals. They can be found all over the world. Animals share many of the same traits. All animals eat food and are able to move. Movement helps them look for food. Movement also helps them avoid threats. They eat other living things.

Not all animals are the same. Each animal is unique in some way. Their unique traits can help you tell them apart. Scientists use these traits to place them into groups. But what about plants? Do they all have unique traits? Can they be grouped like animals?
