Science Tools_Lower Level_P03
Some things are not far away. Some things are just too small to see with the naked eye.
For small things, scientists need a different tool. Microscopes help scientists see things that are small. The microscope made it possible for scientists to come across cells. Cells are the smallest piece of life. Our bodies are made up of trillions of cells.
Cells are so tiny they cannot be seen with the naked eye. This new tool made it possible for scientists to see the cell for the first time. Without this tool, we may still not know anything about cells.
Telescopes allow scientists to see farther into space. What if we did not have these tools? How would that change what scientists would know? How would that change the conclusions they draw?
Scientists rely on new tools to help them study the natural world. As tools get better, the more scientists can learn.
