Science tools can help add to our senses. You may have seen people using binoculars.

They help us see things that are far away. Scientists use them to watch animals from far away. They make small objects look bigger.

Telescopes are another tool used by scientists. They help scientists see past Earth. With this tool, they study our solar system and beyond. Without these tools, planets would be a speck in the night sky. They would look no bigger than the plane five miles away.

Really big telescopes are used to look at stars. Stars are much bigger than the planets in our solar system but are even farther away.
