The young butterfly will continue its northern journey. The journey is not random. The butterfly is moving north. The butterfly travels where there is lots of plants to eat. It will survive by eating on plants like milkweed, clover, and goldenrod.

Winter seasons bring butterflies towards the south. Young butterflies might travel the same path their parents did. Monarch are wonderful creatures. They travel far to find food!
